Sited in Downtown San Luis Obispo, this community pool emphasizes an openness to the public. Featuring an angled geometry on the exterior and curved geometry on the interior, the user is meant to feel a warm embrace when entering the space. The building features public restrooms and showers for the unhoused, a sun terrace, and a full sized lap pool on the top. The goal of this project was to create open public space where all occupants feel welcomed and included.
