Located in Mission Bay, San Francisco, this houseboats plays with the idea of spiraling and the symbol of the Eye of Horus. The spiral is derived from a preliminary watercolor machine project which experiments with the properties of water and paint. Additionally, the eye-shaped geometry was derived from both the watercolor project and the Eye of Horus. The Eye of Horus is a symbol of prosperity and protection and is typically painted on the bows of boats protect the vessel and see ahead.  The houseboat itself features two bedrooms, one bathroom, a kitchen, and an upstairs office space.
Preliminary Watercolor Machine​​​​​​​
Tasked with creating semi-autonomous watercolor machine, this machine uses a water bottle to disperse water into seven cups with paint, dropping the paint onto a spinning canvas. The results of this project influence the final design for the quarter, utilizing both the spiral and eye imagery.
